Boarding Pass
Every journey begins with a ticket an invitation to step beyond the familiar and into the unknown. There are countless journeys in life some physical, others emotional, intellectual, or spiritual. Travel is not just about moving from one place to another; it is about transformation, discovery, and the passage of time.
In this series, I have reimagined the boarding pass as more than a travel document; it is a portal into the lives and minds of history’s most influential figures. Each pass belongs to a thinker, creator, or visionary Einstein, Shakespeare, Freud, Rumi, and more people whose ideas transcended borders and shaped our world.
But these are not just tickets; they are personal artifacts. I envisioned each figure waiting for their flight, using their boarding pass as a notebook, sketchpad, or journal just as we all might doodle or jot down thoughts on whatever paper is at hand while passing time. Every flight number, date, and gate is intentional, referencing pivotal moments in their lives nothing is accidental. Each destination reflects where they might choose to travel today places tied to hidden meanings, controversial ideas, or sources of inspiration that could connect them to our world in unexpected ways.
The result is deeply intimate: Freud’s ticket carries reflections on the ego, Shakespeare’s features lines from Romeo and Juliet, and Vivaldi’s includes musical notes from The Four Seasons…… These details are not random; they are traces of their genius glimpses into their minds at a fleeting moment before departure.
This series is an invitation not just to observe, but to engage to wonder, to question, to explore.
Look closely and pause. Let your imagination take flight.
